This year, we start our work at the Festival venue early. It helps our nerves to relax when the Thursday shows unfold!
So contractor Shankar is building the Food Street stalls today, after a team cleaned the yuck off this street twice over. We have also used some soft cleansing materials to santise the place since thousands of people will crowd here for some nice snacks.
The street lamps and buntings will also go up soon on East Mada Street.
And on Wednesday we hope to have a section of the street exhibitions up. All along East Mada Street.
That night we also hope to erect the art installations at the Gandhi statue zone, off the Chitrakulam.

Please take care to have more garbage disposal bins in place on the Food Street and suitable directions where the bins are placed would help.
It will also be good to encourage use of paper bags and environmentally friendly plates by food sellers.
