Should Mada Streets be made 'one way' only?

Cast your vote please.

This is an issue I kick up at the Fest.
Not because we want to take over all the Mada Streets. But because some organised and well planned strategies like 'one way' and 'walk only' for this zone will help us all - shops, hawkers, devotees, tourists, window shoppers and genuine shoppers and residents . .
I want your opinion. . .

I also want to write to the Traffic Chief and the Police Commissioner. To debate this idea and take it forward if it is doable.

Write in!

i second this... it gets so difficult for the pedestrians to walk in these roads during the festival during which we walk more than how we usually do on thse roads... there r "no traffic" roads at Pondicherry to facilitate "peaceful" walking on the beach road... though its not possible to adopt that idea here at mylapore on all 365 days, that can be adopted for atleast the 4 days of this festival. it will surely be helpful for all... there would not be any more auto rickshaw or car horns and the events will also get more audience...

It would really wise to maintain one way. All four Mada Streets are filled with traffic and if both North and South Mada Streets are made one way it should bring some order in Mylapore. Also pedestrians will have some place to walk.

I have just mailed Sunil Kumar, the officer in charge. And invited him to the Fest.

I hope some thing comes out of this.
