Thank you, Sorry and Good-bye

Time spins you.
It is two days since the curtains came down on the Fest and there is still so much work left to do to wind up.
This the time to say Thank You to everybody who made the Fest what it was. To 'Sundaram Finance' led by T T Srinivasaraghavan, an active partner, to all the artistes who performed at the Fest, to the backstage teams who set the stage for the shows/events, to the state agencies that helped us stage the Fest, to the volunteers and to our small team.

Special thanks to my colleague Revathi R. who joined us many years ago and has made a huge contribution to the Fest these past years.

It is also time to say 'Sorry' to those who strongly felt that some things had to be done but weren't, to those who experienced our slips and to those who felt they deserved better.

We say good-bye now.
And set the ball rolling for 2010.

Sujatha Mohan says…………It was a pleasure working with the Mylapore Festival team. On behalf of Padmashree Nrithyalaya I sincerely thank the sponsors, organizers, musicians, artists, coordinators, volunteers, sound & light technicians, stage creators, audience and the police Dept who helped us to conduct our show in a grand manner. There was a little disappointment at the end to few parents who expected some sort of small recognition to their tiny wards, but then, nobody to be blamed except a little communication gap which could have been avoided. So being the choreographer I take full responsibility and apologize to all the parents, sponsor and the organizer.

We realize that organizing that sort of great festival is not an easy task and we appreciate each and every one for their tremendous effort. We consider that the sponsors, organizers, musicians, artists, coordinators and the media are all one family and without each one’s help and co-operation we can’t conduct any event in a successful manner.

My sincere thanks also to all the parents who helped their wards to prepare beautiful props for the show and arranged transport for two weeks of rehearsal and four days of program despite their busy schedule. I also request to those who were disappointed that let bygones be bygones and little slips here and there could be neglected in future.

Good news to all the participants (dancers and musicians) that the Sponsor and the Organizer have arranged to present certificates for everyone and the time & venue will be notified shortly.

I don’t have any other word but to say a simple THANKYOU to everyone concerned and we hope to enjoy again at Mylapore festival 2010.
